Merry Christmas!

I am officially done for the year! Awhile back I decided that I wanted to be able to enjoy the month of December and not have to worry about last minute Christmas shoots and getting a bunch of work done before Christmas. So, I stopped taking sessions on December 1st and won't be booking more until January 1st. Actually, my first session of the year will be my nephew. But, I just finished editing my last one, and I'm excited to spend some quality time with my family.

I had a great year. I was busier than ever. There are a couple of changes that I want to make in the coming year. One being to not take things personally, and the other is to stop comparing myself with other photographers. I do this a lot, and, I get discouraged sometimes. But, I had a lot of growth with my business this year. I started doing weddings, I am more confident in my work and during sessions, and, I learned a few new tricks with my editing.

Thank you for being such great clients and friends! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas!

Jeana and her "kids".

I was asked to do a shoot for Jeana and her pup. I love doing these types of shoots because it gives me something different to work with. Sure, I LOVE doing child photography, but animals, I don't get too much of. I've done a session or two where they incorporated their animals, including getting a few of our smelly guy, Jake.

This was probably the shortest session I've ever done! Not even 30 minutes. She knew what she wanted, and and they were all great to work with.

I had fun meeting Jeana and her four legged friends. Thanks again for having me over :)

Here's a look inside their session!

Jeana and her gorgeous self.

Clapton - He's a miniature Collie. So handsome!

Connor - He's such a cool cat...he wasn't into the whole camera thing, but stayed put long enough for a few snaps.

Isabelle and Roman

You would think that after photographing Isabelle for the last 3 years, I would have that one thing that would keep her attention long enough to take pictures of her. She doesn't want much to do with my camera. And, when she does strike a pose, I'm too late. But, I love doing sessions for these two. Roman is just the sweetest little guy. And I love that Izzy is so full of life, plus, she's a gorgeous girl.

Watch them grow up right before your eyes....and, watch my photography change and grow as well. They were one of my very fist clients (well, I do believe my first actual client).

My first shoot with Izzy (well, a picture from our first shoot).

Our Christmas shoot with her cousin, Carter.

Izzy's Christmas shoot.

First sibling session.

And, here we are again. Two sweet little people, that I completely adore as much as my own. They are an amazing family, great friends and I love them all.

Baby Natalie

I'm sure you remember seeing Natlie from previous sessions.

Like....their family photos from this fall. I also had the honor of photographing her parent's wedding .

Natalie is such a beautiful little girl. I can't wait to get my camera on her again. Her mom and I have become great friends, and I look forward to their next trip back home!

Enjoy the photos, she's sure to melt your heart. <3

Matt - A 2010 Senior!

It's always fun to do shoots for family friends. Especially those that you don't get to see that often. And this happened to be one of those shoots. I pretty much grew up with Matt's older sisters and his extended family. I didn't know Matt very well though since there is a decent age gap (about 10 years).

It was a gorgeous fall day. Couldn't have asked for better weather. Matt wasn't really into the whole senior picture thing, but I think by the end, he was "ok" with it....I think. :) We all had a good time joking around and catching up. Good luck with everything, Matt!

Here's a preview!

Tweet / Burdick Preview

It was such a beautiful day for a shoot. I'm so happy the weather cooperated for us.
I had a great time with everyone, and loved catching up with old friends as always. I can't believe how big the kids are getting. The first time I did a shoot for this family was about a year ago and the little kids were babies! Now, they're toddlers.

Here's your preview! And thanks again!! It's always great to see you all.

I love this shot. Probably my favorite to date!

How about this cutie?! Her eyes are so pretty.

And this little ham. He couldn't possibly be any cuter!

A few out-takes.

It's only starting....Trust me, the brotherly torture will continue until well into your 20s. ;)
